KONI has launched its new "Heavy Track" and "Heavy Track Raid" range of 4x4/SUV shock absorbers

The "Heavy Track" range consists of over 150 applications, specially developed for 4x4 and SUV cars. The KONI "Heavy Track" shock absorbers have been designed for driving on all kinds of road-conditions and have been extensively tested in the outback of Australia and the Sahara. The new Koni Heavy Track "Raid" range is intended for driving under even more extreme conditions.

These big diameter (Ø70mm) shock absorbers contain more oil, have thicker rods, big Ø42mm pistons, stronger attachments and better heat resistant seals. Another special feature is the unique Koni hydraulic rebound valve system with a special spring. This rebound valve substantially increases the damping forces during the last 40 or 20 mm of the rebound stroke to prevent metal-to-metal contact.
